Night
Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM Days:
Monday – Friday Flexibility
Required:
Must be open to working weekends as needed Pay: $19 - $22 (with an 8% differential for night shift)
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for inspecting manufactured or processed products to ensure compliance with customer contract specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on dimensional accuracy, tolerances, hardness, and overall product quality.
Essential Responsibilities- Inspect products to verify compliance with order specifications, company quality systems, and applicable legal requirements
- Approve or reject products and document inspection results
- Measure and evaluate
- Dimensions and tolerances
- Angles, radii, contours, clearances
- Thread lead and surface finish
- Perform hardness testing on parts
- Inspect and verify gauges and measuring instruments for accuracy and conformance
- Prepare inspection reports, labor cards, job tickets, and required documentation
- Maintain established productivity and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with production, management, and other departments
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety procedures
- Ensure machine guards and safety equipment are in place and functioning properly
- Monitor and ensure required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required 1–3 years of related quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience & KnowledgeAbility to perform a variety of inspection tasks Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and regulations Ability to effectively communicate with managers, customers, and team members Working knowledge of word processing, manufacturing, database, and order processing systems
Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills Solid math skills using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Safety-focused and quality-driven mindset Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand or sit for up to 8 hours Frequent hand and finger dexterity and fine motor coordination Occasional walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping Ability to lift up to 5 lbs frequently and up to 20 lbs occasionally Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, color vision, and focus adjustment
