Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Benefits: Excellent benefits are available after the successful completion of the temporary period.
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret quality documents, inspection plans, quality plans, standards, procedures, and related documentation.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on water well, oil and gas, and industrial filtration products.
- Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, optical comparators, and tape measures.
- Operate laboratory and testing equipment such as tensile testers, Rockwell hardness testers, optical comparators, and sand sieve analyzers.
- Enter inspection data into quality software systems and generate required reports.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including non-conformance reports and test reports.
- Communicate with customer representatives to help ensure purchase order and quality requirements are met.
- Identify, document, and report product quality issues.
- Recommend or assist with corrective actions related to quality concerns.
- Verify that corrective actions have been properly implemented.
- Inspect, test, and monitor products throughout the production and delivery process.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
:
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, quality documents, and written procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Good vision and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong documentation and data entry skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and customer representatives.
- Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or industrial experience is helpful but not required.
- Training will be provided.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, or other measuring tools is a plus.
- Experience reading shop drawings or assembly drawings is a plus.
