Electronic Quality Inspector; IPC​/J-STD – Aerospace

SQA Services is seeking an Electronic Quality Inspector to support an aerospace program onsite in Houston, Texas
. This is a full‑time, resident position supporting inline quality inspection activities on behalf of the client. The inspector will support production workload by performing quality inspections on electronic assemblies and hardware in a fast‑paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Candidates with active or previously held IPC/J-STD workmanship certifications are highly preferred. Expired certifications may be considered if the candidate has relevant inspection experience and is eligible for recertification.

• Perform inline quality inspections on electronic and electromechanical assemblies
• Inspect PCBs, soldering, wiring, connectors, and workmanship per applicable standards
• Verify compliance to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Identify and document nonconformances and workmanship defects
• Support production quality activities and communicate findings to manufacturing and engineering teams
• Utilize client quality procedures and inspection documentation systems
• Represent the client professionally on‑site during inspection activities

• Experience performing electronic or electromechanical inspections in aerospace or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 and/or J‑STD‑001 workmanship standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship inspection capability
• Ability to work full‑time onsite in Houston, TX
• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Active or previously held IPC‑A‑610 or J‑STD‑001 certifications
• Experience supporting NASA, aerospace, or high‑reliability hardware programs
• Experience with inline production quality support
• Local to the Houston area

$34 - $38 an hour

Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.725 per mile driven). Untaxed.
