Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Opportunity

The Project Quality Specialist is the single accountable owner of the Issue Resolution Process on a project. The role exists to ensure that every manufacturing quality issue that escapes to the field is triaged, prioritized, assigned, tracked, and closed with a documented lesson learned. The PQE is the bridge between the field and the factory: they hold the process together, but they do not own the technical work.

This role will report to the Director of Quality and work closely with factory quality engineers (action owners), site quality stakeholders (observation submitters and field QA/QC), operations leads (execution), engineering (technical disposition), and project management (escalation and resourcing). You will have to influence these stakeholders; your job is to ensure that the issues are being resolved in a timely manner.

Location:

Houston, TX Department: DEPCONResponsibilities
  • Own and run the end-to-end issue triage and resolution process across multiple projects, bridging factory and field quality teams.
  • Monitor the project’s quality observation system daily and triage new quality observations within one business day.
  • Facilitate weekly structures with the factory and field quality teams respectively to advance issue resolution.
  • Run 1‑on‑1s with quality engineers to ensure timely execution of root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Manage issue closeout: verify completion criteria are met and record closure.
  • Author a lessons‑learned summary for every closed issue so the next project benefits from what was learned.
  • Escalate critical and high‑priority issues promptly when standard cadence will not resolve them in time.
  • Support with the creation of issue report‑outs to management and/or external stakeholders.
  • Support the data and analytics team with the creation of metrics and a dashboard to track issue resolution KPIs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical background, sufficient to read drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or construction quality experience.
  • Working knowledge of root cause analysis methods (5‑Whys, fishbone, RCCM, CAPA); enough to evaluate the quality of an RCA submitted by others.
  • Familiarity with NCR / ECR / CAPA workflows and ISO 9001 quality principles.
  • Comfort with common construction and quality management platforms (e.g., Procore or equivalent), Excel, and modern issue‑tracking tools.
  • Strong project management, meeting facilitation, written communication and influencing skills.
Benefits
  • Performance‑driven rewards – Competitive pay with incentive opportunities that recognize your results and contributions.
  • Comprehensive healthcare – Medical, dental, and vision coverage that supports you and your family’s total well‑being.
  • Security and peace of mind – Life and disability insurance programs that provide protection when it matters most.
  • Flexible benefits options – A variety of voluntary benefits so you can personalize coverage to fit your needs.
  • Time to recharge – Generous paid time off to relax, travel, and maintain a healthy work‑life balance.
  • Investing in your growth – Education assistance and tuition support to help you build skills and advance your career.
  • Planning for the future – Retirement and savings programs that help you achieve long‑term financial confidence.
