Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Resident Regional Manufacturing Leader is the senior executive authority representing the company within a Contract Manufacturing (CM) partner’s facility. This role requires a permanent on‑site presence to oversee the high‑velocity, hyperscale production of L10 (node‑to‑chassis) and L11 (full‑rack integration) server infrastructure.

Responsibilities On‑Site Leadership & Crisis Management
  • Provide daily, hands‑on leadership at the CM facility and act as the organization’s eyes and ears, ensuring the CM adheres to proprietary assembly, safety, and test protocols.
  • Establish and lead the on‑site War Room during production excursions, material shortages, or quality failures, coordinating immediate resolution and real‑time risk assessments for global leadership.
  • Direct and mentor a resident team of Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, and Manufacturing Program Managers (FPMs), ensuring effective auditing of CM performance and engineering changes.
  • Maintain daily relationships with CM senior leadership (Plant Manager/VP of Ops) to prioritize hyperscale volume in labor allocation and equipment utilization.
Capacity Planning & Scalability (L10 & L11)
  • Lead long‑range capacity modeling for L10 and L11 production, ensuring the facility has the requisite square footage, specialized lifting equipment, and high‑density power/cooling to meet 3‑year growth forecasts.
  • Manage the expansion of L11 Test capacity, calculating “Rack‑Hours” to secure sufficient power shrouds, network switch ports, and diagnostic infrastructure for simultaneous rack validation.
  • Develop and test surge plans to scale throughput by 30–50% within a single quarter, supporting hyperscale data center turn‑ups.
Quality, Debug & Process Engineering
  • Lead on‑site 8D investigations for complex hardware/firmware failures, using debug tools and interpreting test logs to trace failures to specific assembly steps or sub‑tier component defects.
  • Drive the use of FMEA and DOE through the team to mitigate potential rack‑level failures before volume production.
  • Continuously refine manufacturing flow to reduce touch time per rack, utilizing Lean methodologies to optimize the transition from L10 node‑loading to L11 final cabling and functional test.
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor production drift and ensure every rack meets the exact global standard.
Cross‑Functional Operations:
Materials & Business Audit
  • Drive daily CTB visibility, managing on‑site material shortages and ensuring critical components are allocated to the most critical builds.
  • Conduct regular audits of labor run‑rates and overhead utilization, ensuring staffing aligns with actual floor operations.
  • Oversee the flow of consigned and turnkey materials, maximizing inventory turns and minimizing liability.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education:

BS in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Required); MBA or MS in Operations Management (Preferred).
  • Technical Certification:
Six Sigma Black Belt (Required) with demonstrated experience applying DMAIC to high‑volume electronic assembly.
  • Experience:

12+ years in manufacturing leadership, including 5+ years managing Tier‑1 CMs at hyperscale volumes.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
Deep understanding of server architectures, data‑center power distribution, and L11 functional testing/software provisioning.
  • Presence:
Must be able to work daily and indefinitely on‑site at the designated CM facility.
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Short‑term and long‑term disability.
  • Life insurance and AD&D.
  • Supplemental life insurance (Employee/Spouse/Child).
  • Health‑care and dependent‑care Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • Pre‑tax commuter and parking benefits.
  • 401(k) savings and investment plan with company match.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and paid parental leave.
  • Paid holidays (11).
  • Paid sick leave: 72 hours upon hire, with annual refresh and carry‑over up to 112 hours.
  • Adoption assistance, employee stock purchase plan, financial planning and group legal services.
  • Voluntary benefits including auto, homeowner, and pet insurance.
