Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success – and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.
This is a great opportunity to step into a highly visible Quality leadership role supporting one of nVent’s growing operations. You’ll have the chance to shape the site’s quality strategy, build and develop a team, and make a direct impact on product performance and customer satisfaction.
Located in Hitchcock, Texas (just outside Houston), this site offers the best of both worlds — a close-knit, team-oriented environment with access to the broader Houston area.
What You’ll Experience In This Position- Own the site’s quality system — audits, ISO compliance, procedures, and continuous improvement
- Lead and develop the quality team (supervisors, technicians, and inspectors)
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues quickly and prevent recurrence
- Partner with operations to improve performance — reducing scrap, rework, and variation
- Oversee inspections, testing, and quality metrics to ensure consistent product performance
- Act as the point of contact for customer quality concerns, returns, and escalations
- Build and deliver training to strengthen quality awareness across the plant
- Provide clear updates and insights to plant and corporate leadership
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related) or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience leading quality in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and audits
- Proven experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA, 8D, etc.)
- Leadership experience managing teams and driving accountability
- Ability to analyze data and turn it into actionable improvements
- Experience handling customer quality issues
- Certifications (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma, Lean)
- ISO Lead Auditor experience
- Medical, dental, and vision plans along with flexible spending accounts, short-term and long-term disability benefits, critical illness, accident insurance and life insurance.
- A 401(k) retirement plan and an employee stock purchase plan — both include a company match.
- Other supplemental benefits may include tuition reimbursement, caregiver, personal and parental leave, back-up care services, paid time off including volunteer time, a well-being program, and/or legal & identity theft protection.
