Quality Technician II
The Quality Technician II maintains compliance with ISO and Quality Management System (QMS) standards for lift equipment repairs and refurbishments. This role conducts visual and dimensional inspections throughout the repair process, performs in-process and final inspections, and prepares clear, detailed reports for use across the business. The Quality Technician II supports external audits, helps drive corrective actions, and ensures that all products meet established quality requirements before release to customers.
EssentialSkills
- 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with ISO standards in a production or repair setting.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and their application in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in visual and dimensional inspection techniques for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Ability to interpret weld symbols and read blueprints and drawings for inspection purposes.
- Experience performing weld inspections using size gauges, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle methods.
- Experience conducting paint inspections using tools such as surface finish gauges and thickness gauges.
- Ability to create clear, accurate quality reports and technical documentation for multiple levels of the business.
- Strong skills in quality inspection, including visual inspection, manufacturing inspection, and final product verification.
- Proficiency in identifying nonconformances and documenting them clearly in DMR (Defective Material Reporting) systems.
- Solid understanding of quality management principles and their practical application in a shop environment.
This role is based in an open‑air shop environment supporting lift equipment repair and refurbishment. The regular schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime available as business needs require. Overtime may include extended hours Monday through Friday until 4:30 p.m., as well as mandatory Saturdays and/or Sundays, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., depending on production demands.
You will work around industrial equipment and inspection tools such as gauges and testing devices for welds and paint finishes, in a hands‑on, production‑focused setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77092.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.65/hr.
