The QC Plant Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of products throughout the production process in a manufacturing environment. This role is the primary responsibility to conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure it meets specification.

• Ensure all parameters of Safety, Food Safety and Quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the plant.
• Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition.
• Spot check at least every two hours of finished product in each of the assigned machines.
• Perform visual and physical inspections to verify that the products meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Be present at all line changeovers to validate good specifications on product.
• Maintain detailed records of inspection, including any defects found or other non-conformities.
• Collect and deliver retained samples for each new line.
• Ensure that the construction of the boxes is correct, verify that the product is suitable for labels and packaging to release product.
• Follow the inspection and packaging procedures according to the work instructions.
• Verify raw materials are adequate for production.
• Follow non-conforming procedures to ensure material is quarantined.
• Communicate findings to the operator to address quality issues, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Perform all tasks with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
• Reports on quality and food safety issues to shift lead or supervisor.
• Ensure that all inspections and procedures adhere to safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Conduct other duties as assigned by management.

• Basic math and measuring ability.

• Must have the capability to stand for long periods of time.
• Familiarity with FSSC 22000:2005, GMPs, and HACCP are preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• At least 1 year of experience inspecting finished products.
• Preferred experience in food packaging or processing environment.

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to interpret instructions effectively.
• Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and kneeling.

• Primarily located on the manufacturing floor, involving exposure to loud noise, machinery, high temperatures, and chemicals.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
