Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector

Client:
Major energy / oil & gas operator

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) as per client specifications and international standards
• Review and verify technical documentation, drawings, and test procedures prior to inspection
• Witness and validate all FAT procedures including functional, performance, and safety tests
• Inspect equipment for compliance with project specifications, QA/QC requirements, and industry codes
• Identify and document any non-conformances, deviations, or defects during inspection
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports with clear findings and recommendations
• Coordinate with client representatives, vendors, and project teams to ensure smooth execution
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with client safety and quality standards
• Provide technical guidance and sign-off on equipment readiness for dispatch

• Minimum 10 years of E&I inspection experience in the oil & gas or energy sector
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Proven experience in VSD inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation (or equivalent)
• Qatar Energy / Qatar Petroleum inspector approval (preferred)
• Valid passport with ability to travel to the United States
• Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, NEC, API, etc.)
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions on-site

• Prior FAT experience with major VSD manufacturers
• Familiarity with client-specific inspection protocols and documentation requirements
• Experience working on similar short-term assignments in international locations
