Position: QA/QC Electrical Inspector - Texas City

Job Summary

Rabalais I&E Constructors is seeking a Site QA/QC Inspector. This role is critical to ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all projects. The successful candidate will maintain a strong attendance record, uphold personal responsibility and integrity, and work collaboratively with the team to follow all safety rules and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor all quality control aspects of mechanical equipment to ensure adherence to company technical requirements and applicable codes.
  • Provide weekly input to the QA/QC reporting system, identifying trends and unresolved exceptions.
  • Offer expertise to the site team to help avoid and resolve quality problems.
  • Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non‑conformances are identified, tracked, and closed.
  • Verify that all testing procedures are approved, available on site, and that testing parameters are duly recorded, signed off and calibrated.
  • Attend and witness testing associated with mechanical equipment and systems. Typical tests include non‑destructive examination of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, mechanical QC activities, acceptance tests, and final quality checks prior to acceptance.
  • Review QA/QC files for accuracy and adequacy.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Certifications in MT, PT, or UT are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and inspection assignments.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, project managers, and clients.
  • Job duties are subject to change; other duties may be assigned by management.
Work Environment
