QC Supervisor
Salary Range: 70K - 95K/ year Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:Quality Systems & Improvement Implement and maintain quality ISO 9001 and ARC standards. Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities. Lead in root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency. Support internal and external audits.
Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Inspect and verify incoming raw materials, components, and supplies against specifications and quality standards. Review supplier quality documents (COA, COC, inspections reports). Perform sampling inspections based on AQL standards. Identify and document non-conforming materials and coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions. Maintain IQC records and inspection reports.
In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions. Conduct in-process inspections and audits at defined checkpoints. Identify process deviations and initiate corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues in real time. Ensure adherence to control plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Final Quality Control (FQC) Perform final inspection of finished goods before shipment. Verify product functionality, appearance, labeling, and packaging. Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Approve or reject final products based on inspection results. Generate final inspection reports and release documentation.
Documentation & Compliance Review batch records and production logs. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / ARC / industry standards. Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation. Initiate and track corrective actions. Implement process improvements to reduce defects. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, etc.), Quality Management, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in quality control position in manufacturing environment (electronics, consumer electronics, food processing, pharmaceutical, etc.) preferred. Experience working in the printing, label manufacturing, RFID, packaging, or converting industry preferred. Advanced knowledge of 7 QC tools, FMEA, control plans, SPC, etc. required. Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 / ARC / HACCP or other industry quality standards.
Experienced with ERP/MES systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection reports. Knowledge of measuring instruments and testing methods. Proficient computer skills to prepare documentation, analysis reports and related data. Attention to detail and good observation skills. Strong communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
