Enhanced Drilling, now a part of Expro is looking for a QA/QC Specialist. The QA/QC Specialist supports the Quality Manager in executing quality assurance and quality control activities, with a primary focus on workshop and asset-related operations. This position provides hands‑on inspection, verification, and documentation support across incoming materials, in-process work, equipment assembly and testing, and MPD equipment mobilization/demobilization.

The role additionally supports the internal audit program and supplier/vendor quality activities, including on‑site technical assessments and third‑party inspection (TPI) witnessing of tests and FAT activities at vendor facilities. The role ensures conformance to API Q2, ISO 9001, engineering specifications, and customer requirements, sustaining Enhanced Drilling’s commitment to operational excellence, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Area of Responsibility Inspection & Test Execution
  • Maintain and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform receiving/incoming inspections of critical materials and components, verifying conformity to drawings, specifications, certificates, and purchase order requirements.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools and document results with full traceability.
  • Witness and document required tests, including hydrostatic/pressure testing, function testing, FAT/SIT activities, and load testing.
  • Coordinate, witness and support non‑destructive testing (NDT) activities (MPI, LPI, UT, RT) and review NDT reports for acceptance.
  • Verify that hold points, witness points, and customer/third‑party inspection requirements are met before release.
  • Assist with tear‑down activities and customer communication.
  • Review and verify incoming documentation:
    Certificates of Conformity (CoCs), Material Test Reports (MTRs), cure dates, batch/lot records, heat numbers, and as‑built drawings.
  • Maintain material traceability through receipt, storage, issue, and installation.
  • Identify, tag, segregate, and quarantine nonconforming or suspect material; control disposition through the NCR process.
  • Support preservation requirements for elastomers, electronics, hoses, and mechanical components, including shelf‑life control, storage conditions, and stock rotation.
  • Perform QA/QC checks during mobilization and demobilization of MPD equipment and associated spares.
  • Validate spares, consumables, packing lists, and shipping documentation against job requirements.
  • Verify equipment certification status, inspection currency, and readiness for deployment.
  • Conduct post‑job inspections on returned equipment; document condition, damage, and required rework.
Calibration & Measurement Control
  • Maintain the calibration register for measuring and monitoring equipment.
  • Verify calibration status prior to use; remove from service, tag, and escalate expired, damaged, or out‑of‑tolerance devices.
  • Coordinate with external calibration vendors and maintain calibration certificates and recall schedules.
  • Assess the impact of out‑of‑tolerance conditions on previously inspected and released product.
Audit Support & Internal Auditing
  • Serve as a qualified internal auditor within the API Q2 / ISO 9001 internal audit program; plan, prepare, execute, and report assigned internal audits.
  • Prepare audit checklists, gather objective evidence, document findings, and issue audit reports in accordance with the internal audit procedure.
  • Track audit findings to closure and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Support external audit activities, including API Q2, ISO 9001, and customer audits; acting as auditee escort, evidence gatherer, and subject matter support for shop and inspection processes.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining audit schedules, auditor competency records, and audit program documentation.
  • Support supplier qualification, re‑qualification, and performance monitoring activities.
  • Plan and conduct vendor/supplier audits and on‑site technical assessments, evaluating manufacturing capability, process controls, calibration systems, traceability, and QMS conformance.
