QC Mechanical Inspector

salary: $18 - $19 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education:
High School

Inspect machined/molded parts to assure conformance to engineering drawings and/or other documentation.

• Document inspection results using manual and computer-based systems.
• Generate Material Non-Conformance reports for items not meeting specifications.
• Interface with personnel within the quality department regarding work assignments and priorities.
• Interface with personnel in engineering, manufacturing and sales to resolve any issues relating to specifications or non-conformances.

Previous experience in a precision mechanical inspection environment, such as a machine shop, molding shop or other fabrication/manufacturing company.

• Hands-on experience with common inspection tools such as:
• Micrometers;
  Calipers;
  Pin/Plug Gages;
  Ring Gages;
  Go/No Go Gages
• Height Gages;
  Profile Projectors;
  Profilometers;
  Surface Plates

Experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.

High school diploma or equivalent (two years of college preferred), 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a quality control inspector/technician.

(Preferred)- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector
