Quality Inspector

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join their team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be an integral part of the quality assurance department supporting production and inspection teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Houston, TX

Pay Range: $18.38

Shift: Days (Monday to Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm)

What's the Job?

  • Verify electrical and mechanical parts dimensions, functionality, and visual conformance according to established procedures.
  • Interpret blueprints and military specifications to ensure parts meet required standards.
  • Utilize inspection tools and test equipment such as coordinated measuring machines, optical comparators, and PMI gauges.
  • Perform first piece inspections on mechanical and electrical parts or assemblies.
  • Monitor and process rejected materials using Oracle Quality Module, ensuring proper disposition and documentation.

What's Needed?

  • Basic understanding of inspection tools, test equipment, and measurement techniques.
  • Knowledge of blueprints, military specifications, and quality standards.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
  • Ability to perform basic setup and calibration of inspection instruments.
  • Willingness to attend training for ASQ CMI and IPC 610 testing standards.
