Safety Representative
North Houston Pole Line is seeking dedicated Safety Representatives to join our team who has experience in the utility construction space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to overhead and underground electrical distribution. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety excellence.
What You'll Do
- Inspecting and Monitoring:
Conduct regular inspections of overhead and underground electrical distribution to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Risk Assessment:
Perform risk assessments to evaluate potential hazards associated with overhead and underground electrical distribution activities and develop strategies to mitigate risks. - Training and
Education:
Provide training and education to employees and contractors on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices for working with distribution systems. - Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and standards pertaining to power distribution systems and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training activities, and compliance documentation.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years as a lineman is desired
- 5+ years in a safety role is desired
- Show up to work on time everyday.
- Attention to detail is paramount
- Safety Licenses/Certifications preferred
- Must be residing in the Houston Metro
- Ability to travel 5% outside of the Houston metro – Overnight Travel is Rare.
