We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage and improve supplier quality performance across our manufacturing supply chain. This role is responsible for supplier qualification, quality performance monitoring, corrective actions, and supplier development to ensure incoming materials and components consistently meet Cooler Master’s quality and manufacturing requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented quality professional who can work effectively with suppliers and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Supplier Assessment: Evaluate and qualify new suppliers by conducting audits, assessing their quality systems, and verifying compliance with standards.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze supplier performance, identify trends, and develop action plans to address quality issues.
- Root Cause Analysis:
Work with suppliers to perform root cause analysis for defects or non‑conforming materials and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions. - Supplier Development: Support suppliers in implementing quality improvement initiatives to ensure consistent and high‑quality deliverables.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure supplier quality aligns with company requirements and standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of supplier performance, audits, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure supplier materials and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

When defects occur in incoming materials, we are responsible for issuing a SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Report) and urging the supplier to find the root cause and implement preventive measures.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality, or a related manufacturing quality role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001
, quality improvement methodologies, and manufacturing quality best practices. - Hands‑on experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), SCAR, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans
. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify quality trends and drive issues to closure.
- Excellent communication and supplier management skills, with the ability to effectively work across Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Quality teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel to supplier locations as business needs require.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and execution.
- Strong ownership and accountability with the ability to independently drive supplier quality issues to resolution.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills when working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
