is a leading provider of inline and tethered magnetic flux leakage, caliper, and inertial measurement inspection services for oil and gas pipeline operators across north america.
the in-line inspection mfl/geo data analyst (level 2-3) will evaluate and interpret pipeline inspection data collected by onstream’s mfl (magnetic flux leakage) and geometry inline inspection tools . You will correlate analysis with field verification measurements, perform qa/qc checks, generate detailed customer survey reports, and interface directly with clients .
major responsibilities/activitiesdata analysis & interpretation: interpret mfl and geometry pipeline inspection data to identify anomaly locations, depth, and categorization on oil and gas pipelines .
quality assurance & verification: perform data quality assessments, run standard/non-standard analyses, apply anomaly interaction rules, and conduct final qa/qc checks on completed survey reports .
historical & field correlation: correlate findings with historical inspection data and physical, hands-on measurements taken from client-provided corrosion samples .
reporting & client interaction: generate and present final inspection reports tailored to client specifications . Provide ongoing technical support to clients via phone, email, and in-person for excavations and measurement verification .
technical leadership (level
3): establish analysis techniques/procedures, interpret industry codes and standards, perform advanced analysis, and mentor/train junior team members
experience: 5+ years of equivalent inline inspection mfl/geo data analysis experience .
certifications: historical or active level 2 or level 3 mfl/geo certification .
education: minimum of 2 years completed engineering or science coursework at a recognized college, technical school, or university (or an additional 2 years of equivalent industry experience) .
industry standards: advanced working knowledge of phmsa part 192/195 regulations, as well as api, nace, and asme standards and recommended practices .
driver’s license: valid driver’s license (required for occasional client visits and meetings) .
preferred asset: experience and training in non‑destructive testing (ndt) .
strong computer, analytical, and data interpretation skills .
ability to learn proprietary software and technical concepts quickly .
self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines .
high attention to detail with the ability to maintain concentration over long periods .
strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and professional client presentations
