About the Role
We're seeking a SCADA QA/Test Engineer to support quality assurance and testing activities for utility SCADA and control system deployments — critical work in an environment where system reliability directly affects grid operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute test plans for SCADA system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for SCADA and related control systems. Log, track, and verify resolution of defects identified during testing cycles. Validate SCADA displays, alarms, historian configurations, and data integration points. Support regression testing for system patches and configuration changes. Document test results and support go-live readiness reviews.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of QA/testing experience, ideally with SCADA or industrial control systems. Understanding of SCADA architecture and utility operations. Strong attention to detail and structured testing methodology. Solid documentation and communication skills.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with a specific SCADA platform (iFIX, Wonderware/AVEVA, Ignition, ABB Ability). Familiarity with FAT/SAT processes for utility control systems. Knowledge of test management tools (Jira, Test Rail, or similar). Consulting or utility client-facing experience.
