Quality Control Inspector – Manufacturing

Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 5–6 days per week
Day Shift: 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
Night Shift: 5:00 PM–5:00 AM

We are hiring experienced Quality Control Inspectors for both day and overnight shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.

Candidates should have 3–4 years of hands-on Quality Control or Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable using precision measuring tools and identifying dimensional or product defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured and assembled parts
  • Inspect incoming materials and components received from outside vendors
  • Verify product dimensions, specifications, workmanship, and overall quality
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Identify defects, dimensional discrepancies, and deviations from specifications
  • Perform and document first article inspections as required
  • Read and interpret manufacturing specifications, work instructions, drawings, and inspection documentation
  • Accurately record inspection results and maintain required quality documentation
  • Verify product identification, traceability, and documentation throughout the manufacturing process
  • Communicate quality concerns and nonconforming material to production and appropriate team members
  • Work closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve quality issues
  • Support continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of Quality Control Inspector experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and precision measuring equipment
  • Experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Ability to identify defects and determine whether parts meet required specifications
  • First Article Inspection experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing specifications, drawings, work instructions, and inspection documents
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate quality issues clearly with production and management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour shift, 5–6 days per week

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to lift heavier items with assistance or appropriate equipment
  • Ability to push and pull materials using appropriate equipment
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear
