Within the Division of Cancer Medicine, the Program Manager, Clinical Quality & Safety serves as a key contributor to the Quality and Safety Program, supporting divisional leadership in advancing patient safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and clinical effectiveness initiatives. The Program Manager, Clinical Quality & Safety collaborates extensively with Quality Officers, clinical leaders, analysts, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to improve care processes and outcomes across a large and complex oncology environment.

The Program Manager, Clinical Quality & Safety plays a vital role in managing quality data, monitoring safety events, leading strategic projects, and facilitating collaboration across numerous departments within UT MD Anderson. This Program Manager, Clinical Quality & Safety position also supervises a Program Coordinator supporting the Quality and Safety Program and serves as a liaison between division leadership and departmental quality teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare program management, clinical quality, patient safety, performance improvement, and data analytics. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives, building strong relationships across various stakeholder groups, and utilizing data to drive operational and quality outcomes. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, EPIC, dashboard development, regulatory reporting, quality metrics, and healthcare performance measurement is highly desirable.

Strong communication, project management, analytical, and leadership skills are essential.

Salary Range (40-hour work week):
Minimum $37.98/hour
- Midpoint $47.60/hour
- Maximum $57.21/hour

• Coordinate divisional quality improvement programs and develop Quality & Safety metrics for outcomes and productivity.
• Establish quality assurance processes that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Oversee divisional data collection activities and monitor reporting compliance.
• Measure, trend, analyze, and report Quality & Safety metrics to identify high-risk and recurrent events.
• Monitor the institutional incident reporting system for events occurring across the Division of Cancer Medicine.
• Create, maintain, and enhance dashboards supporting Quality & Safety performance monitoring.
• Coordinate benchmarking activities and communicate findings and recommendations to divisional leadership.
• Support departments with data extraction, reporting, metric analysis, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with analysts and quality leaders to identify, measure, and evaluate key performance indicators.
• Align divisional policies with regulatory, accreditation, and national quality standards.

• Assist the Deputy Division Head for Clinical Quality and Effectiveness with divisional quality initiatives.
• Assist the Divisional Quality Officer with implementation of cross-departmental process improvements.
