Quality Lead

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for planning and controlling quality assurance and quality control activities for manufactured and third-party supplied parts. This role ensures all products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards through inspection, documentation, calibration management, and non-conformance tracking.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts and raw materials to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Inspect incoming goods and review supporting documentation and certifications.
• Manage and maintain calibration equipment and records.
• Document, investigate, and track quality and supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs) through to closure.
• Provide regular NCR status updates to Technical and QHSSE Management.
• Ensure identification, status, and traceability of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process.
• Create Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) and quality data packs with supporting documentation.
• Prepare inspection reports and recommend corrective actions or rework requirements.
• Review and compile manufacturing and quality document packages for finished products.
• Utilize manual and electronic inspection equipment to verify product quality.
• Maintain quality records and databases in accordance with company procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• STEM-related degree or diploma considered an asset.

Certifications

• Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent.

• Certified Quality Technician (CQT).
• ASME Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Professional (GDTP).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience inspecting machined components and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of dimensional inspection techniques, quality systems, and traceability requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.li>
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
