Quality Control Inspector - Night Shift
Location: 77073 - Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $21.00/hour - 8% Shift Differential after training
Schedule: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Overtime: 12-hour shifts, 5 to 6 days a week
Position Summary
Quality Control Inspector for a manufacturer of precision-machined components used in the industrial drilling industry. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing inspection experience, strong attention to detail, and experience using precision measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Measure dimensions, tolerances, threads, radii, and surface finishes using precision measuring equipment.
- Perform hardness testing as needed.
- Approve or reject parts based on inspection results.
- Complete inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Verify gauges and measuring equipment are accurate and properly calibrated.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of Quality Control inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Strong math, documentation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
