Texas Scientific, LLC is a biotech company located near the Texas Medical Center in Houston. The R&D Laboratory is currently recruiting a Lab Scientist level investigator in developing new in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products. Highly motivated individuals who have relevant trainings and working experiences in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and has passion in developing IVD products, are encourage to apply.
Responsibilities- Preparing and reviewing regular laboratory protocols and standard operation protocols (SOPs) that will be used for analytical studies related to our existing and new products and for good laboratory practice.
- Performing analytical studies for new products developed by R&D teams in our company, including preparing analytical study protocols and providing study reports
- Preparing reports of experimental results and documents required for regulatory registrations
- Establishing platforms for antibody or macromolecule labeling with colloidal gold, latex or other labeling technology in Texas Scientific lab in Houston
- Developing new technological platforms for in vitro diagnostic products, including fluorescent labeling, microfluidics, and microarray
- Performing other job-related duties as may be assigned and managing and supervise lab staff in the daily operational workload.
- Daily routine laboratory management.
- PhD / MS in immunology, biology or biomedical science related field with >5 years research experience in life sciences or medical field are required.
- Proven skilled hand-on techniques immunology or molecular biology laboratory. Knowledgeable of scientific publication preparations and searching of public database and literature.
- Capable for lab equipment operation and maintenances of common lab equipment.
- Capable of lifting and moving boxes up to 40 pounds.
- The ability to prioritize and complete tasks and forecast in advance for ongoing projects.
- A willingness to work hard and be creative in a fast-paced environment.
- Accurate laboratory data recording and data processing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills include the ability to learn new assays quickly and design new protocol.
