* LEARNING OBJECTIVES
* - Gain advanced training in prostate cancer biology across disease states, including bone metastatic progression.
- Develop expertise in extracellular vesicle biology and liquid biopsy assay development.
- Acquire skills in biomarker discovery, analytical validation, and translational deployment.
- Perform longitudinal analyses integrating multi omics liquid biopsy data with clinical outcomes.
- Strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration skills within a clinical-translational research setting.
- Develop independence in scientific writing, grant preparation, and oral communication.
* ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in a relevant biomedical discipline.
Preferred candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong interest in prostate cancer progression and bone metastasis
- Experience or strong motivation to work with liquid biopsies, EVs, or circulating biomarkers
- Ability to work with human biospecimens and clinical datasets
- Solid quantitative reasoning and data interpretation skills
- Good scientific writing skills and experience in publishing research articles
- Motivation to pursue an independent research career
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and communicating scientific findings to diverse audiences.
* ADDITIONAL APPLICATION INFORMATION
* The trainee will be mentored by Theocharis Panaretakis, PhD, as well as Dr. Christopher Logothetis, MD with close collaboration with GU oncology clinical and translational faculty, including investigators with expertise in prostate cancer biomarkers, bone metastasis, and longitudinal patient monitoring.
