Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct innovative research aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive cancer progression, therapeutic resistance, and disease evolution. The successful candidate will investigate how metabolic enzymes, chromatin regulators, and transcriptional networks contribute to tumor biology and will help develop mechanism-guided precision therapeutic strategies to address unmet clinical needs in cancer.
Research projects will leverage state-of-the-art approaches in molecular biology, functional genomics, epigenetics, chemical biology, and cancer therapeutics. The Fellow will design and perform experiments, analyze and interpret complex datasets, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present findings at laboratory meetings, journal clubs, scientific conferences, and research seminars.
The primary goal of this position is to integrate mechanistic discoveries with the translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and biomarker-driven patient stratification strategies. The Fellow will work in a highly collaborative environment and receive training in experimental design, data analysis, scientific communication, and manuscript preparation.
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the completion of the appointment, the Postdoctoral Fellow will:
* Develop the ability to independently conceive, design, and execute research projects that address important biological questions and unmet clinical needs in cancer.
* Gain expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation across diverse genomic, molecular, and biochemical platforms.
* Learn to integrate mechanistic and translational research approaches to identify novel therapeutic vulnerabilities and predictive biomarkers.
* Develop strong scientific communication skills through manuscript preparation, grant writing, and presentation of research findings.
* Acquire the skills necessary to transition to an independent research career in academia, industry, or related biomedical fields.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals with a PhD degree in cancer biology, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, or related fields with less than 1 year of postdoctoral experience.
Experience with rodent studies is required for this role. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Proven track record of publications, excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
