Postdoctoral research fellow positions are available to study neurobiology and epigenetic mechanisms of chronic pain and hypertension. Candidates should have solid graduate training in epigenetics, protein biochemistry, cellular imaging, or neurophysiology and a strong publication record using molecular biology, patch‑clamp electrophysiology, or proteomics approaches. Ongoing studies include epigenetic and transcriptional control of gene expression related to chronic pain, ion channel physiology, synaptic plasticity, and cardiovascular control and hypertension development.

Responsibilities
  • Hands‑on learning of rodent models of chronic pain and hypertension.
  • Hands‑on learning of experimental skills including molecular biology, epigenetics, and electrophysiology.
  • Data and statistical analyses.
  • Critical reading of pain and hypertension literature and effective manuscript writing.
Eligibility Requirements
  • PhD degree related to neuroscience or neurobiology.
Position Information

MD Anderson offers full‑time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. Offsite work arrangements are subject to approval and may be modified or revoked at any time based on business needs, performance considerations, or regulatory requirements.
