Position SummaryApplications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in proteomics at the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine. The laboratory focuses on mass spectrometry‑based proteomics and other molecular techniques to study cancer, neurodegeneration, and related diseases.
Responsibilities- Design, conduct, and optimize experiments, including LC–MS/MS and related molecular analyses.
- Process, analyze, and interpret complex proteomics datasets.
- Develop innovative proteomic approaches and AI‑driven systems biology strategies to advance research programs.
- Write manuscripts, technical protocols, and grant materials.
- Train and mentor graduate students and other laboratory personnel.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers and contribute to new scientific directions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline is required.
- Strong background in proteomics with hands‑on experience in HPLC and mass spectrometry.
- Experience in cell culture, cell treatments, and laboratory‑based assays, including protein and cell‑based techniques.
- Additional experience in metabolomics, bioinformatics, functional genomics, or molecular biology is highly desirable.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration at all levels.
- Ability to work independently within a mentored, multidisciplinary environment.
