Missions In Brief

Pilot the cooperation policy in the field of science, technology, and innovation to promote France's interests and influence.

Design, negotiate, and implement bilateral cooperation projects, student and researcher exchanges, within the framework of the policy defined by the ambassador and the science and technology advisor;
Define and implement an annual budgetary program;
Follow actions funded by public credits, particularly in the field of aid to cooperation;
Develop relationships with local authorities, French operators, and beneficiaries of cooperation actions;
Develop professional and social networks to promote the visibility of cooperation;
Develop scientific and innovation monitoring in the district and, in the United States, in the field of Physics and its many fields of application;
Organize, co-organize, or promote scientific actions or events aligned with the policy defined by the ambassador and the science and technology advisor on the following themes: health, environment, and emerging technologies (priority themes of Franco-American scientific cooperation defined during the mixed committee), while ensuring the rapprochement of scientific and political spheres, and innovation. Contribute to the promotion of scientific and technological sectors and innovation among organizations, students, and students to contribute to the awakening of vocations in these disciplines.
