This position will focus on investigating the role of pyroptosis in tumor immunology. The successful candidate will use a combination of biochemical, molecular, cellular, mouse genetic, and systems biology approaches to investigate the activation and regulation of gasdermin proteins, the executioners of pyroptosis, in the context of tumor-immune interactions.
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
* LEARNING OBJECTIVES
* The postdoctoral fellow will learn to investigate how cell death signaling pathways regulate the functions of tumor-infiltrating immune cells, leading to tumor suppression and enhanced antitumor immune responses.
* ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. degree or equivalent in related biomedical field with strong self-motivation.
Preference will be given to applicants with extensive experience in mouse tumor models and tumor immunology and/or biochemistry and protein purification. Applicants with backgrounds in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, tumor biology, or related disciplines are all encouraged to apply.
