The postdoctoral fellow will provide technical and scientific support for ongoing studies examining tumor-immune interactions, mechanisms of therapeutic resistance, and determinants of treatment response in neuro-oncology. A major focus of the laboratory will investigate how radiation therapy may be strategically integrated with immunotherapeutic approaches, including immune checkpoint inhibitors and cellular immunotherapy, to improve outcomes for patients with brain tumors.
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
* LEARNING OBJECTIVES
* The postdoctoral fellow will receive training and mentoring in translational research focused on primary brain tumors and brain metastases. The postdoctoral fellow will focus on and investigate how radiation therapy may be strategically integrated with immunotherapeutic approaches, including immune checkpoint inhibitors and cellular immunotherapy, to improve outcomes for patients with brain tumors.
* ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* The applicant should have a PhD and/or MD as well as peer-reviewed publications or manuscripts under review in internationally recognized journals. A strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology is also required.
