Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Postdoctoral Researcher role based in Houston, TX. The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct independent and collaborative research projects, design and execute experiments, and analyze and interpret data to support publication-quality findings. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate laboratory records, contributing to manuscript and grant preparation, presenting results at internal meetings and external conferences, and supporting the training and mentorship of students or junior team members.

The role involves close collaboration with principal investigators, clinicians, and interdisciplinary research teams to advance scientific knowledge and translate discoveries into clinical applications. The Postdoctoral Researcher is expected to adhere to institutional policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in research ethics and safety.

Qualifications
  • Strong laboratory skills relevant to the research area, including experimental design, protocol optimization, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated research experience, including formulating hypotheses, conducting studies, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
  • Background in the TME, cancer-associated fibroblasts, fibroblast heterogeneity, spatial biology
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical methods, quantitative modeling, and use of relevant software tools or programming languages.
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant field such as physics, biomedical engineering, life sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing manuscripts, grants, and presentations.
