Research Assistant I

The Research Assistant I role supports research efforts in Radiation Oncology under the direction of Dr. Eugene Koay. The Research Assistant I contributes to laboratory and clinical research operations through data collection, imaging analysis, biospecimen processing, and technical support. The Research Assistant I is an important member of the research team, helping ensure the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of research activities across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will possess educational preparation and experience relevant to scientific research, laboratory operations, clinical data analysis, and technical project support. Responsibilities

Research Project Support

  • Assist with research projects conducted within Dr. Koay's laboratory
  • Support efficient execution of research activities and project workflows Imaging, Biospecimen Collection & Analysis
  • Prepare imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Conduct imaging activities following approved research methods
  • Prepare biospecimen collections according to protocol requirements
  • Perform biospecimen analyses using established procedures
Laboratory Operations
  • Operate laboratory apparatus and research equipment
  • Follow equipment usage and safety expectations during research activities
  • Maintain readiness and proper use of laboratory resources
Data Management & Documentation
  • Document research data and findings accurately
  • Maintain records in accordance with requested methods and protocols
  • Generate reports from collected datasets
Clinical Research Data Activities
  • Acquire clinical research data in accordance with established protocols
  • Perform clinical data tabulation and analysis
  • Support research data collection, organization, and reporting efforts
EDUCATION
  • Required:

    Bachelor's Degree Natural Science or Applied Science in a research-related discipline.
