Leading aerosol measurements for James Flynn’s lab
The Flynn group is in search of a postdoctoral researcher to lead efforts in supporting the Atmospheric Science and Chemistrym Easurement NeTwork (ASCENT) site at the University of Houston. Thechosen candidate will lead the instrument operations including hands on activities such as QA/QC checks and maintenance as well asdata processing, analysis, and leading publications. Candidates should have a PhD in atmospheric science, atmospheric chemistry,chemistry, physics, engineering, or related fields, be well versedin the operation of aerosol instrumentation, subsequent data handling, and have a strong background in aerosol science.
Experience with Aerosol Mass Spectrometers and/or Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitors is strongly preferred. This position is for atleast 12 months with the likelihood of extensions but is grantfunded and is contingent on receiving external funding.
MQ:
Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in arecognized field of specialization that is directly related to thetype of work being performed. No experience is required.
