Postdoctoral Fellow – Biologics Discovery and Engineering
Funded through grants from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas, as well as institutional endowment resources, the Ge Laboratory of Molecular Medicine at UT Health Houston is actively recruiting postdoctoral fellows with research interests in the development of biologics and immunotherapeutic agents. These include monoclonal antibodies (mAb), bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADC), chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies, and T cell receptor (TCR) technologies.
Qualified applicants will employ and extend innovative protein engineering methodologies in the context of biopharmaceutical discovery and subsequent optimization strategies to address solid tumors, brain metastases, autoimmune disorders, and neurological conditions. This distinctive position provides an exceptional opportunity to engage at the intersection of molecular medicine and disease biology, while simultaneously facilitating the transition from academic training to preclinical biologics development research.
Additional details regarding laboratory activities and research initiatives are available at https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..org
Postdoctoral fellows are anticipated to design and execute investigative projects aimed at the development and assessment of biologics derived therapeutic agents. Prospective applicants should demonstrate substantial expertise and a robust publication record within the domains of molecular and cellular biology, immunology, protein science and engineering, or cognate fields. Antecedent involvement in protein engineering methodologies, including library development, high-throughput analytical techniques, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, and xenograft murine models, constitutes a significant advantage.
The postdoctoral researchers must exhibit diligent work practices, sophisticated analytical reasoning capabilities, and proficient organizational and interpersonal communication competencies.
