The City of Mont Belvieu, Texas is currently accepting applications for Head
Cook in the Parks & Recreation Department. The City of Mont Belvieu is a growing community located on IH-10 east of Houston, Texas in Chambers County.

The Pointe Grill at Eagle Pointe is seeking an ambitious head cook looking to take the next step in their management career in Mont Belvieu, Texas. The focus of the Head Cook will be to manage kitchen staff and oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations of The Pointe Grill featured inside the EaglePointe Recreation Complex under the direction of our Food & Beverage Coordinator, as well as work alongside our Event & Reservations Specialist for catering events and local catering deliveries.

• Reports directly to Food & Beverage Coordinator
• Overseeday-to-day operations and production of kitchen
• Upholdsstandards of presentation while maintaining service and cleanliness standardsat all times
• Ensure product quality and the highest level of food safety and sanitation are met
• Responsible for ordering product, verifying accuracy and cost, and submitting inventoryroutinely
• Overseehiring, training, scheduling and performance of part-time and seasonal kitchen staff
• Coordinate,repair, maintenance and improvement of equipment
• Provideinput on menu ideas, specials and identify opportunities to drive business
• Maintainprofessional appearance at all times
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers
• Attendall required EPRC meetings and events
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency
• Assist in monitoring cost of goods sold, food loss, revenue generation and other budgetary controls within the restaurant.
• Maintainflexible schedule in order to meet needs of the Grill and Special Event demands
• Work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced, highproduction environment
• Notifythe Food & Beverage Coordinator of any situations relating to quality,customer service, safety, productivity, security or any other situation thatmay have an adverse effect on The Pointe Grill

• Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
• Five (5) or moreyears of related experience and/or training.
• Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Successful candidates must pass pre-employment drug screen, job related physical and background check.
