• The Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of the kitchen and assigned back of the house areas.
• Organizes and sets up his/her station according to set‑up chart or as instructed by the Chief Steward or kitchen management to execute tasks efficiently and in a timely manner without loss of product or damage to kitchen equipment or dishware.
• Ability to properly assemble all tools and utensils needed to accomplish job duties.
• Exhibits ability to prioritize work and ensure immediate needs are met. Understands and shows commitment to teamwork, knowing when to ask or offer help to or from colleagues. Returns soiled food preparation utensils and other small‑ware items to the proper areas.
• Understands and follows sanitation practices. Keeps station clean and neat during shift and makes sure station is clean and neat for oncoming shift. Helps maintain general kitchen cleanliness. There are sweeping and mopping duties as well as major kitchen cleaning projects such as stoves, ovens on a weekly rotating basis.
• Exhibits and uses proper personal hygiene, dresses professionally.
• Keeps cuts, abrasions and sores covered. Uses rubber gloves when necessary.
• Knowledge of special cleaning chemicals, compounds and sanitizers. Employees will be trained to use these chemicals safely and efficiently with in OSHA standards and will be required to sign off on the “Safety Data Sheets” located in the employee cafeteria.

• Must be able to speak and understand the English language.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to work in this area.
• Job related experience is a plus.

• Must be able to work in a warm and humid environment.
• Working conditions are often slippery and wet.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or over time as needed.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must work well with others as a team.
• Must have an outgoing personality.
• Should have an eye for detail.
• Must possess honesty and integrity.

• Required to bend, stoop, and stand up to ten hours a day.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
• Must possess independent mobility through department.
