ResponsibilitiesAs the Sommelier, you will be responsible for developing and executing an exceptional wine program that enhances the Private Club experience and supports the Private Club and Restaurant's luxury dining initiatives.
- Lead and continuously enhance a world-class wine program, including wine list development, reserve selections, and exclusive member offerings.
- Deliver exceptional, personalized wine service through expert recommendations, tableside presentations, decanting, and member engagement.
- Manage all aspects of wine inventory, including purchasing, receiving, storage, cellar organization, cost controls, and vendor partnerships.
- Collaborate with Culinary and Restaurant Leadership to create innovative food and wine pairings, special events, and elevated dining experiences.
- Lead wine education and training initiatives for service teams, fostering a culture of knowledge, service excellence, and professional development.
- Plan and execute wine dinners, tastings, and exclusive member events while maintaining the highest standards of service, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Sommelier experience in a luxury hotel, private club, Forbes-rated property, Michelin-recognized restaurant, or fine-dining environment.
- Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Sommelier designation or equivalent certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth members and VIP clientele.
- Ability to remain poised and professional in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and member events.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Sommelier or higher, WSET Diploma, or equivalent advanced certification.
- Experience managing a high-value wine cellar and rare wine inventory.
- Previous experience within a luxury private club or Forbes Five-Star environment.
- Established relationships within the wine industry and distributor community.
