• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with public and coworkers.

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. They will assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, and maintain self‑serve displays. The Bakery Clerk will work with customers to take special orders, and collaborate with the Baker to determine which items require baking or decoration. Duties also include department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water to maintain cleanliness.

Typical fast‑paced grocery store environment; essential functions include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory tasks. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
