Retail Scan Associate; Houston, TX

Overview

This is a permanent PART-TIME role. This position estimates anywhere from 8-14 hours per week, for all stores, depending on store size and project requirements.

Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).

Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

• Visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays, in aisle locations, and aisle end caps.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store.
• Provide quantity data for approximately 45% of scanned products when requested.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store on a weekly basis (may take several hours).
• Support clients with additional Custom Projects, which occur weekly and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines to ensure timely data delivery to clients.

Available workdays:
Monday or Tuesday at CHANNELVIEW;
Sunday or Monday or Tuesday at HOUSTON.

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi and be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
