The Visual Merchandiser at Thompson + Hanson Stone House plays a key role in shaping the aesthetic and experiential identity of the store. • Visual Presentation & Display
  • Develop and execute seasonal, weekly, and thematic merchandising plans that reflect the Stone House brand aesthetic.
  • Style product displays, vignettes, and feature areas to highlight new arrivals, best sellers, and curated collections.
  • Maintain visual standards throughout the store, ensuring displays remain fresh, cohesive, and fully stocked.
  • Incorporate natural elements, textures, and materials consistent with the Thompson + Hanson design language.
• Product & Inventory Coordination
  • Engage with customers on the sales floor to understand their needs, recommend products, and drive sales while maintaining a welcoming and helpful environment.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to understand product stories, seasonal direction, and merchandising priorities.
  • Ensure product placement supports sales goals and enhances customer flow.
  • Monitor inventory levels on the floor and coordinate replenishment with stock and sales teams.
  • Assist in receiving, tagging, and preparing merchandise for display.
• Brand Experience
  • Create an immersive, sensory retail environment that reflects the Stone House lifestyle — warm, organic, and beautifully curated.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and ambiance, including lighting, signage, and overall presentation.
  • Support in-store events, workshops, and seasonal installations with visual and spatial planning.
• Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with store leadership to align merchandising with business objectives.
  • Communicate visual standards and updates to sales associates to ensure consistency.
  • Provide training or guidance on visual upkeep and product presentation.

• 1–3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail styling, or a related creative field.
• Strong eye for design, color, composition, and storytelling.
• Ability to translate brand identity into physical space.
• Comfortable working with plants, home goods, lifestyle products, and seasonal décor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, move, and arrange merchandise and fixtures as needed.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and seasonal shifts.
