Overview

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate collaborates with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is influenced by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Execute non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise well-displayed.
• Process sales and loan transactions per policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborate to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training successfully.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.) in accordance with law.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.

The commission plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Details are provided during the interview process.
