Retail Store Management Trainee

$13.00 to $24.50 per hour

This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast‑tracking” into a Store Management position. Minimum of 1 year retail management experience required. Offers hourly wage plus commission and a bonus based on store performance.

• Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers, merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, and securing customer loans.
• Recruit and develop store employees, promote a positive/productive environment, and maintain First Cash standards.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Complete all assigned training and self‑development tasks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and communicate clearly with employees.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, business sense, analytical skills, and cash handling experience.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.
• Fluency in Spanish (bilingual applicants encouraged).
• Minimum age 18 years, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ready to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; willing to work 45+ hours per week.
• Knowledge of firearms and willingness to obtain firearms certification.
• Must be willing and able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
