Cashier, Retail

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area

$10-$15 not including tips

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with any inquiries or concerns.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring the accuracy of all financial exchanges.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and ensure all supplies are stocked.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation and positive customer experience.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus.
• Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
