Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Overview

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role offers a base hourly wage plus commission opportunities.

Pay Range: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. Commission can significantly increase earnings based on sales performance.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to build rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintains the sales floor: cleanliness, stocking, and merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; fosters a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Collaborates with staff to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes required training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May assist customers outdoors on premises or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal gross profit. Details are provided during the interview process.
