Position: Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 2223

Position Summary

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, with pay based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items following company policies.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the store and retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
