Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the day‑to‑day operations of the store while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures.

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and submit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non‑exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
• Maintain shift cash handling and inventory controls.
• Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of 0.5% of sales or less.
• Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and record prescribed by the General Manager or Territory Manager.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all cash control policies.
• Manage bank deposits and change orders as part of cash management procedures.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image standards.
• Ensure high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure the store is secure and safe; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Report any issues to proper authority and management.
• Maintain adequate gasoline levels and coordinate deliveries.
• Engage in company promotional initiatives and promote a high level of guest service.
• Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures, including the Company Handbook, and any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Territory Manager.

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work independently and in varied shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday hours.
• Strong communication, counting, reading, and writing skills.
• Basic computer competency.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures and physically lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
• Access to all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
