Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the day‑to‑day operations of the store while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures.
- Complete required daily accounting paperwork and submit by deadline.
- Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non‑exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
- Maintain shift cash handling and inventory controls.
- Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of 0.5% of sales or less.
- Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and record prescribed by the General Manager or Territory Manager.
- Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all cash control policies.
- Manage bank deposits and change orders as part of cash management procedures.
- Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image standards.
- Ensure high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure the store is secure and safe; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines.
- Report any issues to proper authority and management.
- Maintain adequate gasoline levels and coordinate deliveries.
- Engage in company promotional initiatives and promote a high level of guest service.
- Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures, including the Company Handbook, and any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Territory Manager.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years supervisory experience.
- Ability to work independently and in varied shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Strong communication, counting, reading, and writing skills.
- Basic computer competency.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in intermittent temperatures and physically lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
- Access to all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
- Competitive salary ranging from $14.15 to $17.15 per hour.
