Position Overview
As Retail Sales Counselor, you will be responsible for counseling, advising, and otherwise assisting retail store owners and managers on how best and most profitably to operate a retail supermarket. You will also be effectively engaging the various services and programs of the company, and by the application of your experienced judgment, you will be the first point of contact with the retailer and own the relationship.
Job Description- Create, nurture, and maintain a positive climate between retailers and the company and between each retailer and the Retail Counselor.
- Accumulate and organize relevant economic and operating data that will enable the retailer, in conjunction with the company, to plan, organize, and manage operations most effectively.
- Analyze and organize data into usable form.
- Coordinate with relevant retail support services such as store development, marketing, financial services, and real estate.
- Initiate and/or continue to support and administer short‑ and long‑range plans aimed at perpetuating retail viability, developing “A plan for every store.”
- Set goals and determine specific objectives for operational improvements, promotional activities, and physical store development.
- Focus on operational, promotional, and GSC sales program issues in the short term; concentrate on upgrading physical facilities—remodeling, expansion, or relocation—in the long term.
- Recommend solutions to retailers and assist them in selecting and implementing the best course of action.
- Develop annual budgets for the assigned territory.

- Staffing, coaching, and people‑development skills.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and ability to learn proprietary database programs.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment under stress.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures including equipment usage and driving policies.
- Valid driver’s license and valid insurance with extended liability limits; liability insurance requirement to carry $500,000 single limit coverage (commonly $100,000/$300,000/$50,000 acceptable if single limit not available).
- Must maintain a clear driving record.
5–7 years:
Senior store management.
General Equivalency Diploma – General Studies, High School Diploma – General Studies. Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America).
