Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

$13.00 to $17.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $4.07 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations and Customer Satisfaction. The position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

This role analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met, commits to asset protection, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay is dependent on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager:

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and proper documentation.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
