The ReStore Donation Ambassador is responsible for retrieving donations from residential and corporate donors during ReStore operating hours, driving our Affiliate vehicles, and serving as an ambassador for the Houston Habitat for Humanity mission. Responsibilities include building customer and donor relationships by providing friendly and prompt service, stocking merchandise, pricing items for sale, keeping the store clean daily, and providing event support and brand awareness via social media and the online store on an as‑needed basis.

Ambassador hours are Monday‑Saturday 8am‑5pm, with special event hours varying by event needs.

The employee must be able to perform the following job functions:

• Operate Affiliate Vehicles in a safe, lawful, and courteous manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of trucks interior and exterior (cab daily; exterior weekly).
• Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure the readiness of truck and equipment, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
• Load and unload donations to all Affiliate ReStores in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide professional and courteous interaction with donors, with utmost care for personal property.
• Assist with donation processing and store needs when not assigned to truck.
• Be able to train and pass forklift training course.
• Drivers must be eligible for Habitat vehicle insurance – requiring at least 5 years of driving experience and a favorable driving record.
