Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As a Cross-Functional Lead, you'll lead a team and perform supervisory responsibilities, such as directing work for a team, and training and developing partners, while maintaining a total team mindset.

Key Responsibilities &

Essential Functions:

• Store Lead Operations / Training:
  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in absence of leader. Trains partners; directs work; addresses complaints; resolves issues; builds / follows up on plans and their execution. May assist with work schedules for department. Complies with store and department SOPs, H-E-B policies, and applicable laws; ensures partners comply as well. Performs cross functional duties frequently.
• Customer Service / Sales:
  Provides / coaches on superior customer service. Answers customer questions regarding products; assists them with selections. Uses suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge and experience to meet customer needs and build department sales. Merchandises products effectively.
• Food Safety / Sanitation:
  Ensures compliance with departmental / store SOPs for food safety and sanitation; ensures compliance with receiving-related guidelines / SOPs. Properly operates and maintains all equipment.

Qualifications &

Key Requirements:

• Work Experience:
  
  6+ months of related experience and / or training, or combination of equivalent education / training
  - Required
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of departments, including quality standards, set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment
  - Required
• Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine) - Required
• Strong planning and organizing skills

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  - Required
• Verbal / written communication and reading skills
  - Required
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  - Required
• Ability to speak effectively to partners and customers

• Education:
  
  Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

  Demonstrate the ability to lift 40 lbs, and manage in excess of 85 lbs
• FROZEN:
  Demonstrate the ability to lift 60 lbs, and manage in excess of 75 lbs
• GROCERY:
  Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 80 lbs
• MARKET:
  Demonstrate the ability to lift 40 lbs, and manage in excess of 40 lbs
• Deli:
